Rone joined the family after being discovered asleep in a bin of wood shavings at the Portsmouth Pet Shop—the only puppy not making a scene. One yawn, one stretch, and one perfectly timed kiss later, he had completely won everyone over. By the time he clumsily bolted across the floor in classic uncoordinated-puppy fashion, his fate was sealed. He came home that day with a new name, a new family, and a lifelong promise of being loved (and financially supported) forever.

At the shop, Rone serves as an enthusiastic greeter and full-time morale booster. He patrols the property, bravely guarding against rodents while simultaneously climbing humans in fear of thunderstorms, fireworks, or any dog larger than him. He considers every spot at the shop his “favorite,” as long as a human is nearby, and he insists on being included in all work, walks, and adventures. With his crooked ears, dramatic reactions to sneezes, selective approach to obedience, and love for treats, fetch, and family gatherings, Rone brings a whole lot of joy—and a little chaos—to the NorthStar crew.
